Intel, Alphabet and Four More Market Movers Slide Toward Support After a Brutal Week
Tech and semiconductors sold off again on Friday, October 30, 2026. The six biggest movers I charted share one setup: a sharp earnings or sector flush heading down into multi-factor support. As a contrarian trader, I want price to come to me at those zones. Below are the resistance levels first, then the support, on Intel, Alphabet, Bloom Energy, Sandisk, Lumentum and Arm.
Intel (INTC) was down about 28% on the session after its third-quarter 2026 report, and it had been down closer to 30% from Thursday's close before a slight bounce. Weak fourth-quarter guidance on PC-market softness set off the drop, and the rest of the chip group followed it lower. Zooming out matters here because the chart is full of gaps. Intel gapped below the $75.81 pivot high from 2000 and below two pivots at $69 and $68. Those levels have flipped and are now resistance. The $68 to $69 area is the first hurdle on any push higher, and $75.81 sits above it.
Support is the bigger question. Intel found a bid intraday at a gap fill before treading lower. The next major level is the $62.08 shelf, and it converges with an ascending trend line I anchored on the tall green candle from February 14, 2025. Price was rejected at that line on each attempt, pushed above it, gapped back down, and has respected it ever since. Price has not been back to the line since April 2026, so it has had plenty of time to refortify. Intel (INTC) has a support zone at $60 to $62, where the $62.08 shelf, older pivot tops and that February 14, 2025 trend line converge. Jumping in ahead of that zone means trying to catch a falling knife, and the stock has yet to prove it can clear either resistance level. I'm going to wait for price to get down to $60 to $62.
$75.81: 2000 pivot high, major resistance $68 to $69: gapped-down pivots, first resistance $62.08: shelf support $60 to $62: support zone with the February 14, 2025 trend line
Alphabet (GOOGL) made a lower low on Friday after its earnings this week sent the stock down about 13%, its worst single-day drop on record, erasing roughly $500 billion in market value. It is trying to bounce with the overall market now. Resistance starts at Thursday's high near $288, then $291.59, the level of a wide-range red bar candle that price has respected. Reclaiming $291.59 is the first main job. With RSI still in oversold territory after the lower low, the stock could sit here for a couple of days into next week. A lot depends on the broad market and on oil, and crude continuing to push higher would hammer equities and keep this one under pressure.
Support is close by. The 0.5 Fibonacci retrace of the run from the $408.61 high to the $140.53 low comes in at $274.57, and price has respected that level. Right under it is a gap fill at a low pivot from $273.50 to $272, which gives Alphabet two-factor support from $272 to $274.57. Below that, I'm watching a clean trend line from July 11, 2024. It rejected price repeatedly, then price gapped above it and bounced off it as support, and it has not been touched since September 3, 2025. Should the two-factor area give, that line comes in near $257 to $258.
$291.59: wide-range red bar candle, first resistance to reclaim $288: Thursday's high $272 to $274.57: 0.5 Fibonacci retrace plus gap fill, two-factor support $257 to $258: trend line from July 11, 2024
Bloom Energy (BE) dropped about 8% on Friday, extending a post-earnings slide despite a strong third-quarter report. It gave back a couple of green days after getting rejected at $229.55, and the drop left gaps overhead. Reclaiming $229.55 is the first step on the way up. The last gap at $238.53 lines up with a low pivot, and that combination is major resistance.
The support trend line from December 17, 2025 has delivered a clean bounce after each sharp move. In the near term I expect it to give support again. It is weakening, though. The hits are getting more frequent, and the more often price knocks on a trend line, the more likely it is to break. Next week's trend-line test sits at about $192 to $193, and that is the most important level on this chart. Below it, the $180.90 pivot top is support, and a deeper drop brings in the large gap fill at $163.75.
$238.53: last gap plus low pivot, major resistance $229.55: rejection level to reclaim $192 to $193: December 17, 2025 trend-line test for next week $180.90: pivot top support $163.75: large gap fill
Sandisk (SNDK) is down about 10% even though its fiscal first-quarter 2027 report beat estimates and came with an eight-for-one forward stock split. Resistance starts with a steep down-sloping trend line that has rejected price since late September 2026, and each hit has worn it down. A push back up would run into two-factor resistance between the $1,275 pivot and that trend line near $1,312, and I expect price to get rejected in that zone.
On continued selling, minor support sits near $1,070, where price has reacted a couple of times. The stronger area is lower. The large gap fill at $1,015 lines up with a shelf protecting the $1,000 level and with an ascending trend line from November 11, 2025. That line has not been tested since late March 2026, so it should be plenty strong. Sharp moves usually give sharp bounces, and the $1,015 to $1,017 area, where the gap fill and the up-sloping trend line converge, is my favorite spot for a bounce on Sandisk.
$1,275 to $1,312: pivot plus down-sloping trend line, rejection zone $1,070: minor support $1,015 to $1,017: gap fill plus November 11, 2025 trend line
Lumentum (LITE) fell about 9% on Friday in the chip-sector sell-off, while Marvell Technology (MRVL) is in advanced talks to acquire the company in an AI-driven optics deal. The chart shows a bear trap. Price pushed up, traders leaned toward a move higher, it never reached the gap overhead, and it gapped down instead. Support comes in at the $765 pivot shelf, where an ascending trend line from October 22, 2025 converges. That line cleanly rejected price before flipping to support. Further downside would bring in a pivot shelf near $602, right around the $600 psychological level, together with the gap fill at $599.58. RSI sits at only 43, so the stock still has momentum for a push lower.
$765: pivot shelf plus October 22, 2025 trend line $599.58 to $602: pivot shelf, $600 psychological level and gap fill
Arm Holdings (ARM) is the best setup on my board. It fell about 10% with the rest of the semiconductors, which sold off after Intel's weak guidance. Two-factor support sits below: the $188.75 pivot top from July 9, 2024, and an ascending trend line off the April 2025 low pivot that price has respected cleanly. The trend-line test comes in near $178, which puts the Arm support zone at $178 to $188.75. Earnings are due next week, so a catalyst lands right as price works toward that zone.
$188.75: July 9, 2024 pivot top support $178: April 2025 trend-line test
Across all six, I let price come to the zone, and I don't chase a missed level. With Arm reporting next week, I'm curious to see which of these zones gets tested first.
