Bitcoin Loses Its Trend Line as Ethereum, HYPE and Solana Lean on Support

Published At: Nov 02, 2026 by Verified Pro Trader

Bitcoin (BTC) has slipped beneath its key trend line at $80,524. The next support is $74,911, then around $70,000, and Ethereum, Hyperliquid and Solana are leaning on support behind it. On my charts, crypto isn't getting much of a lift from Binance's plan to cover the weekend hack, so I'm mapping where each chart has its next floor and where a bounce has the best odds of starting.

The world's largest crypto exchange was hacked over the weekend, with more than $6 billion in crypto stolen, and the FBI attributed the attack to North Korea's hacking unit known as TraderTraitor. Binance said it would backstop about 90% of the stolen funds with company money, setting aside roughly $6.34 billion of its own funds, and committed to covering the remaining 10%. The charts aren't reacting much, and since not every exchange is going to step up like that, I think that's part of why there's no strong bounce yet.

Bitcoin Broke Its Key Trend Line: Where Is the Next Support?

I start on the daily chart and draw the line at $80,524 off a pivot low from November 2025. Bitcoin got rejected there more than once before it finally got above it and stayed above for quite a while. That held until October 29, 2026, when price plunged underneath and started putting in bearish consolidation below the line. That's a breakdown, and the line now sits overhead as the level bulls have to reclaim.

Losing $74,911 isn't the end of the road. On the weekly timeframe, Bitcoin has been trading inside a large inclining parallel channel that dates back to the peak of its earlier run. Price hit the bottom, hit the top, came back to the bottom, and is now moving around near the lower boundary without breaching it. A fall under $74,911 puts my focus around $70,000 as the next support, where Bitcoin could potentially build for another run at that $80,524 trend line.

For Bitcoin, I'm watching for a tradable reaction or bounce at $74,911 first, then around $70,000 if that gives way. A reclaim of $80,524 is what would put the trend line back on the bulls' side.

Ethereum Follows Bitcoin Into Bearish Consolidation

Next up, Ethereum (ETH). The pressure on Bitcoin has spilled over here. ETH started its own bearish consolidation on the same day Bitcoin broke support, and the structure looks much the same.

A break of that consolidation still has support not far behind. ETH has a shelf at $2,133, with the broader channel-bottom support sitting near $2,000, the bottom of the parallel channel. On the weekly chart, that channel starts in June 2022, and a breach of $2,000 points to $1,928, sitting basically on top of a weekly shelf from July and August 2026.

That zone is still a buying setup I'd be watching. As long as the bottom of the parallel holds and produces a bounce, Ethereum would be printing a higher low instead of a new low, and higher lows are what start a rally developing on a chart. My read on both Bitcoin and Ethereum: they're entering the retest stage after tremendous runs, which is the retrace part of a breakout, retrace and bounce sequence.

Hyperliquid's Lines in the Sand: The Channel Bottom and Its 50% Area

Next up, Hyperliquid (HYPE), which has done a fantastic job through this sell-off. My daily data only goes back to February 2026, but for most of that stretch price has traded inside an inclining parallel channel.

At the end of October 2026, HYPE tagged the bottom of that parallel, made a strong bounce and went all the way up to attack the 50% area of the channel. Those two boundaries are the lines in the sand:

  • Downside: the bottom of the parallel at $77.14.
  • Upside: the 50% area of the parallel at about $97.50, which lines up with the prior high area on this chart.

Price has been bouncing back and forth inside that range, and I expect that to continue until one side breaks. Near term, $77.14 is support and $97.50 is resistance. A bounce in Bitcoin or Ethereum would increase the odds that HYPE starts extending higher from here.

Solana: A Daily Close Decides the Next Move

The level I'm keying on for Solana (SOL) is the green candle from Friday, October 30, 2026, at $92.14. A daily close on Monday, November 2, 2026, below that candle increases probabilities for a continued fall toward the next clean support at $83.27.

That could happen, but I like what I see at the bottom of the chart. Connecting two low pivots gives an inclining trend line that layers in another factor of support, and price would reach that line a little before $83.27, which sits right on top of earlier daily pivots. A pierce of that area, with the trend line and the top of those pivots stacked together, is the buying setup I would be watching for a returning bounce.

Overhead, a bounce runs into resistance at the declining trend line that started in June 2025 and connects with a low pivot from December 2025. Price paused at that line on the way up, got a relief breakout, and paused on it again when it came back. I expect it to bring more pausing and profit taking when a bounce gets there, especially with the line getting close to the $100 psychological level, which can add to the selling.

Hyperliquid (HYPE) $77.14 Bottom of the parallel channel
Solana (SOL) $92.14 Friday, October 30, 2026 green candle; daily close level
Solana (SOL) Inclining trend line Layered support from two low pivots, reached just before $83.27
Solana (SOL) $83.27 Next clean support, on top of earlier daily pivots, with the inclining trend line just above it
Solana (SOL) ~$100 Psychological level near the declining trend line from June 2025; overhead resistance on a bounce

Bottom Line

Being in the red isn't always a bad thing on these charts, because each one has layered support to work with. On Bitcoin, I'm watching for a reaction at $74,911, or around $70,000 if that breaks. On Ethereum, I want the $2,133 to $2,000 area to hold and bounce for a higher low. Hyperliquid trades its range between $77.14 support and $97.50 resistance until one side breaks. On Solana, a daily close below $92.14 opens the move toward $83.27, and a pierce of that zone with the inclining trend line is where I'd look for the returning bounce.
