Before transitioning to full-time trading, he built a strong track record in sales roles across the chemical and hospitality industries - consistently exceeding goals and developing the kind of client relationship skills that translate directly into reading markets and managing risk. That same drive carried forward into HIO Creations LLC, a company Drew founded focused on educational and production material for the financial markets community.
Drew's passion for numbers and markets led him to explore the world of finance. He was introduced to Gareth Soloway in 2009, which is when Drew opened his first trading account. Since then, he has spent years studying the PPT Methodology, mastering a disciplined approach to consistent profitability. As a professional trader, he has developed deep expertise in technical analysis and trading strategies, with a particular focus on cycles of markets, nature, and time. That work has extended into certifications in Gann Theory, PPT Methodology, and Gap Analysis.
With a background in sales and a sharp eye for data, Drew brings a grounded, pattern-driven perspective to the markets. He has successfully operated swing trading services covering small cap stocks, soft commodities, and cryptocurrency, as well as trade alert services focused on options trades. Building on that foundation, Drew is launching a new options trading service in July 2026, bringing his analytical edge to one of the most dynamic corners of the market.
On a daily basis, Drew generates financial articles, technical analysis posts, and chart education content - helping traders at every level sharpen their market understanding. He is also the host of Trading The Close, a live YouTube show airing Monday through Thursday at 4:20 PM. Each episode breaks down the day's market moves, covers the latest financial news, and translates it all through the lens of technical analysis - giving viewers the context they need heading into the next session.
Drew's leisure pursuits include spending time with his family, attending church, playing golf, and poker. His lowest handicap in golf was 1.7, before a back injury sidelined him for over two years. He's currently back at it, hovering around a 6.
